LOL...hit a nerve much?
You said and I quote "ANY lipid ingested will have a much higher chance of being stored as fat while slin is active."
That is exactly what you said and it can only be interpreted one way and that way is false. I'm not sure how thats being nit-picky....thats just incorrect. Thats not how the body works. Yes, you have a higher chance of storing fat if you include a lot of extra calories around your slin shot.
Thats why so many people get fat with slin...bc they think they need 10 carbs per IU and all that other brolore shit. So you shoot 10iu, have 100 carbs when you dont need near that much....of course you will get fat. You shoot slin and have a high cal meal and thats above maintenance cals....of course you'll get fat.
I get what you're saying Adjos and I do it like you do as well. Around my workout I don't have many fats in general just so digestion is not slowed. I normally adjust my slin to my diet and dont say I need "x" amount of carbs per iu or any of that shit. I don't get fat and sloppy with slin bc I know what I need to intake and dont set these random numbers.
However, saying that if you eat fat while slin is active and it will be more than likely stored as fat is just a dumbass statement. You can run lantus and eat a low carb high fat diet and lean out while staying somewhat full...so where is the fat being stored? My current diet I have 200 carbs on heavy training days. 80 preworkout and 120 post workout. The rest of my meals are protein and fat. I have a p/f meal an hours pwo....while my hum r is still active. I'm leaning out....I'm eating fats while my slin is active....why is it not being stored as fat???
Call me a nube all you want, not hurting my feelings. Congrats on being a national level competitor, where are you heading and what are you doing in the next few months?
No you didnt hit a nerve actually- you were condescending from day one- excuse me for just 'loosely posting' what I believe to be correct- you asked me for studies I have none that I know of- its not like I keep all sorts of info handy every time someone on a board decides to come at me like you.
Then blindly saying I have no 'real world' experience when you dont know a thing about me? Yeah that pissed me off.
And some of you assertions you make I can 'nit pick' as well.
Take your buddies kid for example-
Comparing someone who is type1 and has a pancreas whose beta cells are no longer producing insulin and having a insulin pump assist them, which mimics crudely what a healthy pancreas would do for a healthy person is an apple to oranges comparison to begin with.
You look at someone who is a bber and has a normal pancreas and then is dumping exogenous insulin into their system its not nearly the same environment that it is with someone who is allready diabetic- they have no insulin, the bber has insulin release from the pancreas and the exogenous. The bodybuilder is creating a supraphysiological dose there- cannot compare that to diabetic.
Its not the same, and have personally known a diabetic bodybuilder who ate crap like BK and shit all day and stayed lean- he took shots throughout the day of slin and looked ripped all year long while growing- perhaps there is something to that- Tim Belknap was a pro who was shredded with sick vascularity, again a diabetic.
Next- the who calorie count is all that matters deal- if that was true we could give three people a 2,000 calorie diet- one of pure protein, one of pure carb, one of pure fat and if they have identical body comp and such should all get similar results- I think you know thats not happening.
See it works both ways- I try to be open minded and not act like I know everything- simply because I dont- but I have been using slin in the manner I spoke of for 7 years and it has always worked well, Im currently using log and I know for me- if I ingest any fat in moderate amounts while that shit is working on me I get fat as fuck.
I think we both realize that there is a lot of genetic independence here- Mutant says he puts pb in his shake- I have seen his pics on OLM it doesnt appear to be hurting his body comp- but lets face facts Mutant is also pretty genetically endowed...and his insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerances may be much, much different from that of you and I.
I apologize for flaming-just didnt like the comment.
I am currently still training but I have a umbilical hernia and had to forgo my qualification- I could still hypothetically do Nationals but not with a belly button like that- no chance at even getting looked at.
